YDAC offers group communication programs for adults with aphasia. Our professional speech-language and social work staff work with trained volunteers to encourage learning and use of adapted communication strategies to optimize language abilities. We also provide support for families learning about aphasia.

We believe that people with aphasia need specialized skill-building programs as a "bridge" to rebuild their lives in their home communities. YDAC's programs focus on strengthening intact abilities and exploring new skills and interests and knowledge.
