YDAC supports the education and training of health care professionals, particularly speech-language professionals, by providing regular practicum experiences for students in university and college programs. Students work alongside and under the supervision of YDAC program staff.

In addition, YDAC supports the continuing education and training of its' own staff through regular attendance at professional conferences and training sessions. In addition, YDAC maintains a well-stocked library of professional publications.

YDAC staff have regular contact with other health-care and speech professionals in local communities to ensure information about community services is up-to-date and flows freely.

YDAC staff have almost 2 decades of experience in developing & delivering group communication programs. Experienced YDAC staff offer the benefit of this experience to community organizations and/or professionals who are interested in starting group communication programs in their communities.
